Thanks for inviting me to join. My wife and I attend the Cajun Mardi Gras in Eunice, Mamou, Ville Platte, Church Point and Iota every year. We Camp at the Cajun Campground in Eunice for three weeks and just enjoy the people in the area. My wife studied in France while in college and now we are both Francophiles. We just like everything
Cajun. We are both of German Swiss ancestry and two weeks ago we went to Berne, Indiana for Swiss days. We danced a lot of Polka, Waltz and Chicken Dance but we both areed that we have been ruined by the Cajun festivals because nothing is as much fun as a Cajun festival. I say that even after dancing the Chicken Dance with the Amish. Laissez les bons temps rouler.

You've reminded me of this place I'd long forgotten about. I visited this site 21/2 years ago, in a hospital room up in Provo,Utah. I remember being so home sick for South La., being up in the cold snow. And thinking..."Boy, I can't wait to go home". I was helping a friend recuperate after a stroke. As a matter fact i remember listening to the music and all the doctors and nurses would come in and ask about the sound of that beautiful music. I spent my time talking about all of the La. culture. Thanks for digging me up and inviting me back. I'll look for your reply.

It is a great way for folks with a common interest in cajun music and culture to share information and experiences and make new friends in the process. Very cool! Just curious, how did you know my interest in Cajun and Zydeco music and invite me to this site?
